If present, the --startup-skip-validation parameter for netconfd-pro dictates that the server will not run YANG validation of the startup configuration when it is loaded into the running datastore.

NOTE: If the startup configuration has any YANG validation errors and still is getting loaded into the server, the server would not be able to verify that edits done after this initial load are 100% correct. The startup configurations must be valid to ensure future correct edit processing. We would not fix any bugs related to editing if this parameter is used. The fix will be to turn off this switch first and verify that the same edit is still failing.

It can be invoked via the command line:

user@system>netconfd-pro --startup-skip-validation=true

or configured in the /etc/yumapro/netconfd-pro.conf file:

#### leaf startup-skip-validation

#
# If set to 'true' then the server will skip all
# YANG validation of the startup configuration
# when it is loaded into the running configuration
# at boot-time. This should make the server boot
# faster but it assumes the startup configuration
# is already valid. Only the initial startup load
# operation is affected by this parameter.
#
# startup-skip-validation false
