NOTE: this parameter was introduced in YumaPro SDK version 17.10-6, and is available in later versions as well.

The trim-whitespace parameter for netconfd-pro determines whether to remove leading and trailing whitespace from XML string nodes.

If set to "true", then leading and trailing whitespace will be trimmed from XML string nodes. If "false", adhere to the standard and do not

trim any leading or trailing whitespace from XML string nodes. The default is "false"

The server previously would trim whitespace but no longer does this by default. This leaf must be set to trim this whitespace now.

The trim-whitespace parameter can be set via the command line when booting netconfd-pro:

user@system> netconfd-pro --trim-whitespace

or configured in the /etc/yumapro/netconfd-pro.conf file:

#### leaf trim-whitespace
#
# If true, then trim leading and trailing whitespace from
# XML string nodes. If false, adhere to the standard and
# do not trim any leading or trailing whitespace.
#
# trim-whitespace false
#
trim-whitespace true
